Request from the client:
The client requested the installation of state-of-the-art AV systems and accompanying lighting on the cruise ship. The most challenging and interesting part of the job was how to design sound for the largest SKYDome on the ship, the central location where various events take place during the day and transforms into a spectacular place for showcasing aerialist performances and hosting party nights under the stars at night. In addition to the dome, the main challenge was also the Headliners Theatre, designed to host three shows per night. High-end equipment to meet the customer’s needs was a must. In addition to these main venues, mos-av was responsible for the rest of the AV system on the ship, which included 12 different bars, 8 restaurants, and 6 children’s play areas.
P&O Cruises (Peninsular and Oriental Cruises) is a British cruise line that operates seven cruise ships, including the largest ship in the fleet, the Iona. The company was founded in 1837 and is headquartered in Southampton, England.
P&O Cruises offers a range of itineraries to destinations around the world, including Europe, the Caribbean, and Australia. The ships feature a variety of amenities, such as restaurants, bars, pools, and spas, as well as entertainment options like theatres, casinos, and live music.

Our proposal: MOS-AV designed a system with top-of-the-line equipment, where the heart of the audio system were D&B speakers. Control of all rooms was done with AMX controllers and an iPad interface. Riedel was chosen for the On-Board Signal Transport.The specification includes over 100 well-known manufacturers, including D&B, Digico, AMX, Absen, Cisco, Samsung, Panasonic, Riedel, Rittal, QSC, all serving a high-quality AV system.
